Vintage 1940's souvenir hand painted belt from the Philippines. It has made of capiz shells and cording / string.

Designs include waterfront hut scenes, boats, palm trees. Words also painted include: Manila, Abra, Rizal and Philippines.

Condition:

It is missing one of the tiny square shell square pieces at the end of one cord.

Two of the segment shells have chipped edges but as this is a natural product that could have been that way at the time of creation.

Cord has some stray fibers poking out.

The painting is all in beautiful condition with no issues.

Overall this belt is in excellent condition for its age (75+ years)

Purchased with a batch of items that were part of a souvenir lot from the 1940's Pacific area.

Please look closely at the pictures to decide if this is the right item for you.  Due to the fragile nature of this item I am not accepting returns.
