MATERIAL: Natural untreated APATITE. In a textbook perfect color and highest gem quality to create most impressive piece of jewelry or as an investment / collection addition. Named in 1788 from the Greek APATAO meaning "I AM MISLEADING" 

ORIGIN:  Durango Mountains, MEXICO. The only source worldwide of this extremely rare and highly valued variety of Apatite. The mines are no longer producing any appreciable amount of gem grade rough and prices are increasing fast on the international market.

SIZE: 13.6 x 10.3 x 8.6 mm   Calibrated size: NO (The word “Calibrated” means that size of this gem was optimized to fit most inexpensive mass produced jewelry settings. All non-calibrated gems can also be set into jewelry. Ask your local jeweler for details). For customers who are not familiar with the metric system: 1 inch is 25.4 millimeters.

CLARITY:  *  Flawless *   All colored stones are graded with trained unaided eyes. Diamonds are graded under 10x magnification (GIA / International).

HARDNESS: 5.0 Moh’s Scale   (Apatite is a little softer than Amethyst or Sunstone. Suitable for an occasional jewelry wear).
