Description
Vintage Catholic green pulpit scarf made of pure silk brocade with an embroidered Alpha Omega in the lower center sewn with gold metal thread and gold fringe along the bottom edge lined in green satin, 19 1/2 by 42 inches, in very good condition. There is a label on the back from J. Theodore Cuthbertson, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a company specializing in clerical vestments. The pulpit scarf is about 50 years old. It comes from a collection of vintage and antique vestments and altar items that was once owned by an elderly Catholic priest. I will be putting several of these items up for sale.
