Condition is excellent. This was in storage for a long time. It works perfectly with new batteries. The batteries are not included in the listing. They are in the picture simply to show you where they go. There are no directions included with this train but it is very self-explanatory. Super cute with the bell ringing and the light guiding the way. Can go forward or in reverse
