This 1950s fit and flair dress is made of light weight striped material that is probably a cotton blend. There is a decorative "pocket" on the left breast and the front is lined to increase the blouson effect on the bias-cut front. Size-wise it really fits in between a modern 10 and 12.
It has hand sewn repairs under each arm, and there are some tiny brown spots on the left sleeve and inside the collar, and a small spot near the hem. There seems to be some yellowing near the collar on the front and on the lining inside by the arm pits. I washed the dress by hand in cold water so more aggressive cleaning might get it all out. I didn't notice them until the dress was under the bright photography lighting. I didn't see any other issues with it so please look carefully at the photos in case I missed something.
