New York: Dick & Fitzgerald Publishers, 1859. 8vo., original blind and guilt stamped brown cloth. XVI, 17-208 pp., 8 pp. of ads. 8 fold out color plates. A charming mid-19th century instruction book in all manner of the needle arts. Inside one finds instruction on everything from appliqué to tamboured Netting. Illustrated with engraved examples of the various patterns mentioned throughout, as well as with eight monochromatic fold-out color plates, all in different colors.The book is in as seen condition. There is some notes written in pencil thoughout and is on the fold out plates.
