FROST Mini Vibratory Tumbler - 5Lb Small Parts Cleaner

The FROST Vibratory Tumbler is a compact machine which is designed to polish small metal objects and other items with a rapid vibrating action by gently tumbling the objects from bottom to top and from centre to the outside edges. This works better and faster than a rotary tumbler in polishing the surface.

The FROST Vibratory Tumbler is a superb simple designed small vibrating machine that comes with a heavy duty polymer bowl mounted on top of it. This Vibratory Tumbler is perfect for Deburring, Cleaning or Polishing materials of various types using polishing media (see below for more information on the media that can be used).

Media not to be used with any liquids, only use dry.

The Vibratory Tumbler’s drum opening is 7 inches inches in diameter, so it allows the easy addition or removal of items up to 7 inches long. The bowl can take up to 4lbs of parts and media and rests on rubber mounted feet for added stability when operating.

How to Operate the Vibratory Tumbler

Step 1: Pre-clean and degrease items to remove oil and dirt.

Step 2: Fill the Tumbler Bowl about 2/3 full with Polishing Media. Various Media are available for different jobs therefore select the most appropriate media and running time for the objects you wish to Clean, Deburr or Polish. To remove Rust, use Ceramic Triangles which are good for edges and holes. This gives a Dull finish. To De-burr or Polish, you can use either Plastic Cones, Walnut Shell or Porcelain Cylinder (see Types of Media for further information)

Step 3: Put the parts to be cleaned into the Vibratory Tumbler and cover the Bowl. Do not over fill the Tumbler Bowl and do not exceed the work weight limit of 4lbs including media. It is always best to do a test run on a few pieces of the products to be cleaned to test the media and running time before committing to a specific process. You can also add the Frost Vibro Liquid to clean and degrease old grimy hardware up to 50% faster.

Step 4: After using a fine polishing media the cover should not be opened for about 30 minutes in order to allow the dust to settle. If FROST Vibro Liquid is used, then use the Drain Hose to drain out any excess lubricant/water into a suitable container, preventing overflow.

Step 5: Check the cleaned products to determine if the job is completed to your satisfaction. Repeat the process if required. When the work is completed, pour the media and parts from the bowl onto newspaper or a towel, remove the parts and dry them with a heat lamp or a hair dryer to avoid flash rust. Allow the wet media to air dry for future re-use.

The Restoration Destination

Frost Restoration is a unique business where you can find everything you need for your Classic or Custom car, motorbike, caravan, trailer or truck. From Rust Treatments and Paints to Specialist Mechanical and Bodywork Tools, Frost Restoration is the UK's premier Restoration Destination!

Company History

Frost Ltd was established in 1905 in Rochdale, Lancashire, as a general Engineering company but soon becoming specialists in Sheet Metal Working Machinery. Mr Frost died in 1948 and the company was bought by the Wood family and moved to its Crawford street location in 1948.

In the 1980's, the Company was spending time advising customers where to find various types of restoration equipment, partly because of the continued manufacture of the wheeling machine (English Wheel) and partly due to Mike Wood's contacts from racing Classic Cars. Mike then had an idea to put his knowledge of car restoration into a little sales booklet and so Frost Restoration was born.

We offer an outstanding range of brands some of which are exclusive to Frost UK such as POR 15 (Paint, Rust Treatment, Tank Sealer), Eastwood (Paint, Automotive Tools), Evaporust and Dinitrol (Rust Treatment) as well as hard to find tools which are not available from major retailers. We have also launched our own FROST branded products, offering a premium quality at a bargain price.

In 2016, due to the rapid expansion of the business and the need for greater stock holding and improved logistics, we relocated to a purpose built 50,000 sq ft facility between Manchester and Warrington, Cheshire.

Our local shop is based in Glazebury, Cheshire just off the A580 East Lancashire road. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 08:30 to 16:00. We pride ourselves on being knowledgeable about the products we sell and are always happy to offer advice over the phone.
