Synopsis

When Shinji Ikari, a 14-year-old, is summoned by his estranged father to Neo Tokyo-3 after years of separation, he finds himself reluctantly shouldering the responsibility of piloting a colossal robot named EVA-01. His mission: to safeguard the world from enigmatic foes known as "angels."

Despite his persistent questioning of why he agreed to take on this task from his distant and aloof father, doing so becomes a catalyst for his gradual self-acceptance. Yet, the mysteries behind the angels' attacks and the true intentions of his father remain shrouded in uncertainty.
