These rounded head square nails are popular for cabinet work and some furniture applications.


  • These nails likely were machine made in the mid 1800’s to the early 1900’s.
  • These would have been used on plaster lath in old houses and many other uses.
  • Machine made nails came into use in the 1820's and were made until the common wire nails replaced them
  • There is light rust on the nails from their many years of storage 
  • They were NOT used. 
  • There may be a few odd sizes mixed in the old nails that are hard to separate out
  • These nails were in an old wood cigar box. 
  • They have blunt points to reduce splitting.
  • These nails are 1 1/4" long. 
  • The heads are 1/4" round 
  • The nails are 1/8" square and taper down to a blunt tip.
