What's Blueprinting? ... The process includes machining the stainless plate and cam in your reel. We then service the whole reel ... after that we custom build your reel so it has 1-2 pounds of drag when you put your reel just into gear. Then we build your reel for the specific amount of drag that you asked for at strike or full ... for example 25#'s of drag at strike. Additionally we have a few models where we can do what's called Blueprint plus ... what that does is guarantee 50% more drag pressure when sliding the lever from the strike position up to full/sunset.

DFD incorporates both surfaces of the spool to maximize high-end drag pressure, efficiency and overall smoothness. Mounted in the top of the spool and protected by the Hydro Block system is a multi-disc felt drag system that works in conjunction with a secondary drag system that is mounted under the spool. Even pressure is applied to both surfaces of the spool for maximum stability.

This reel has definitely been fished. There is some boat rash in various places and the black plate that covers the Lever Drag Mechanism has definitely taken the brunt of the wear, but it's only cosmetic. This reel was just serviced by the best Reel Service Tech in Orange County California and he re-greased every moving part with the appropriate grease thickness required. He also replaced the spool bearing and verified the Cal Sheets Blueprinting. He immediately made an offer to buy it because he knows how nice this reel is. It's full of Braid, but the top-shot more than likely needs to be replaced.  It works Awesome, and it's smooth and quiet. My starting price is just above the retail price, but the speed shifter alone is worth it. The Blueprint and the Braid makes this a deal, as it will out fish a brand new reel.
