Rare Antique Victorian Bohemian Czech Franz Welz Enamelled Spatter Glass Posy Vase c1890

Here on offer is a delightful antique enamelled splatter glass vase by the Czech maker Franz Welz, dating to c1890.

The Franz Welz, also known as Antonienhutte, glassworks was founded in Bohemia in 1728 and was in production until the late 1930s. Welz was noted for a wide range of colourful glass, including splatter and tango glass.

This is a charming 1890's Bohemian pink and white blown glass vase, made using a technique known as "Splatter" or "Spatter" glass, with an enamelled floral design. The glass is hand blown in opaque pink to enhance the colour, then rolled in white glass and finally encased in clear glass.

There appears to be no damage.

This vase is offered in good antique condition, it measures about 14cm tall by 6.2cm at the widest point.

This would make a great addition to a themed collection.

Please see my pictures for the details of the condition.
