This card was found in an old NJ trade card album. No city is mentioned, but that rubber stamp on the lower back, (Marcus R. Kiff) may ring a bell with an old sewing machine seller in the 1880's somewhere! ("KIFF" is NOT a common name!) It does show a little darkening on the back, but every word is still easy to read. The 4 large scans show it up close and personal, so please look closely to see the complete condition. The little boy is balanced pretty well, but what is she standing on? There are two different "SINGER" sewing machines on this side of the brick wall, and both should not be left outside! But artwork can show anything to get attention and sell a product! It worked because here it is around 130 years later and still showing this cute scene! The original colors are very bright, even a bit brighter than shown in the scans.
