Description

Raymond Savignac, a leading French poster artist, drew this work as an advertising poster for GET, a peppermint liqueur, in 1965.

GET was originally created in 1796 at the Bonbonniere distillery in the Haute-Garonne region of France, and was later developed into its current product in the 1840s by the JET brothers, older brother Jean and younger brother Pierre.

The brothers thought so hard about giving their new mint-flavored liqueur their own name that they spelled "PEPPERMINT" incorrectly as "PIPPERMINT" in their overthinking.

The misspelling is still the same today, more than 200 years later, but the official name is "PIPPERMINT.

The "T" in "GET" serves as a bar table and depicts an adult who is old enough to drink alcohol, but even so, the figure with its legs hanging down is somewhat cynical and cute.

This is a very rare piece printed by lithography, a printing method that utilizes the repulsive effects of water and oil.

Please note that this is a vintage item and there are minor scuffs and scratches. Also, the colors on the screen may differ from the actual colors due to the environment in which the product was photographed or the monitor environment in which you are viewing the product.
