You are bidding on a vintage antique Irish linen double damask white on white tablecloth. IF YOU HAVE NEVER FELT IRISH LINEN IT FEELS SO SOFT...LIKE A CROSS BETWEEN SATIN SILK AND LINEN but it is....100% PURE IRISH LINEN. It's very nice. I have washed it, it's ready for your table. I took the pictures while it was folded in half, the design is the same on the other side. I have a lot of antique damask and I will be listing them all as soon as possible, so check back often, I'm sure I have the perfect one for your table.

Spots: None.

Holes: Four pinholes, three are pictured.

Measurements: 70x130 inches.

Edges: The two short ends are hand hemmed and the two long sides are selvage (not sewn) sides. Back when these were made the looms were not as wide as they are today so the long sides did not need to be hemmed. If you don't know your fabrics that is one of the ways to tell a new textile from and old textile.

I have lots of damask tablecloths in my ebay store with "buy it nows". Damask is formal, perfect for dinner parties, weddings, Christmas, Thanksgiving, birthdays, mother in law visits....just any occasion that you want to impress somebody. If you don't like white then you can dye them any shade, they take dye very well.

Washing Instructions: Throw it in your washer on the hot cycle and wash it. You can bleach it safely. Just remember to rewash after you bleach because bleach continues to process even after the item is dry. Dry it in the dryer. Spritz with water and iron with the linen setting on your iron. Do not, I repeat, do not dry clean...they will tear it up guaranteed.
