The One Ounce American Gold Eagle Coin is the official bullion coin of the United States of America. Not to be confused with the $10 eagle coin minted in the Pre-1933 era, the American Gold Eagles are usually associated with their weights so it is clear which eagle is being discussed. Since it's release in 1986, collectors and investors have flocked to the American Gold Eagle for their investment goals. Due to a copper alloy, that is added to the American Gold Eagles, to make them harder, their weight is a little more than one ounce.

Reverse: Portrays two nesting bald eagles.
