This antique French Sevres porcelain lidded bowl is a true historical gem from the early 1900s. The exquisite hand-painted design and deep pink or magenta color make it a unique piece that will add a touch of elegance to any collection.

The bowl is round in shape, with six segments in the bowl and lid. It has a metal rim (bronze?) with handles and a metal knob on the lid.  The gilt design, surrounding the scenes on the lid and below the handles on the bowl, is raised - definitely painted after the magenta glaze. Some loss to the magenta glaze around the base of the bowl, and a few minor blemishes elsewhere. Please see photos for details.

The scene of the couple has the signature "PAUL".

This was sold to me as part of a lot at auction, and identified as Sevres. I looked at the mark, and couldn't find an exact match with year, but the mark resembles many Sevres marks. My lack of expertise could be a great opportunity for a bargain for you.

Approximately 3" high. Bowl itself is about 5" in diameter, or 7.25" wide at the handles.
