For a stretch in the mid-1980's, Dwight Gooden was arguably the best pitchers in major league baseball.  Rookie of the year in 1984 and a Cy Young the following year helped cement Doc Gooden's status.  His baseball cards above for the New York Mets commemorate his legendary stature.  The 1987 and 1988 Donruss cards of Dwight Gooden are included along with a couple Bowman cards from 1990, one of which is a unique artistic drawing of the pitcher.  The last Dwight Gooden card is his 1989 Fleer version.  All five of these trading cards reflect the star's talent and his ability to dominate batters.  Dwight Gooden pitched for the Mets for more than a decade before making the jump across town to the Yankees.  He later threw for the Indians, Astros, and Devil Rays.  However, Gooden's baseball cards with the New York Mets are among the most treasured as they show him at his finest.
