The set is like new except for the top of the tin. The set has been kept in the tin and the box since it was new, however, when I removed the tin from the plastic bag it was in, it is obvious that the bag had somewhat melted to the top of the tin. I took a couple of photos at an angle so you can see that. It was not noticeable in the front on photos. Other than the top of the tin, everything else looks good, again, it has all been packed away since it was received as a gift many years ago. See all photos for best description.
