The star analyst of the MLB Network, Dan Plesac got his start as a pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers. We catch up to Plesac in 1988 with his Fleer baseball card. Oddly, this card shows Dan Plesac with a bat in his hand. Although pitchers did hit in the National League, it was typically only on the day they started. In addition, relief pitchers rarely hit, but Dan Plesac did break in as a starter, so he did hit. That makes this baseball card even more unique as most pitchers are shown on the mound. That said, Dan Plesac has become well known for his decade long (and counting) run on the MLB Network. He is a household name and his trading cards serve as a token of his days in uniform.
