Gorgeous Charles Ranc bronze Art Deco wall light in the shape of an eagle holding the lampshade in its beak.

Created around 1930, the design, quality, style, age and weight are unmistakably Charles Ranc.  Complete with a period moulded yellow glass shade decorated with fruits and flowers.  Some nibbles to the glass rim (photographed) and a mark to one of the petals (photographed).  But these elements are very minor, and none stand out when in use.

The metal fixture is in fine condition and without damage.  It maintains a natural patina with dustings of verdigris here and there.  I've left it in its original state, but I'm quite sure it would polish to a sheen if desired.

A heavy piece, the overall weight is approximately 3.8kg.  Height is 36cm and the wall mount is 16cm at its widest.
