FOR THE ADVANCING HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT

OR ADULT PLAYING IN A COMMUNITY BAND OR CHURCH ORCHESTRA

I made several custom trombones especially for

smooth jazz artist "Buff" Dillard

including just recently a custom black lacquer King 4B and another King 4B with a pearl white finish.

Check him out on Facebook and YouTube to see these latest trombones in action.

Here are his comments:

I've purchased two trombones from John Robinson. A custom King 607 and custom King 608. I used them both in the studio recording my latest project "Feel My Passion". They are an excellent feel for live performances as well. With a smooth slide and great intonation, what more can a player ask for. John Robinson instruments is an awesome product!

THANKS BUFF!

The rose brass bell and nickel silver trim make this a beautiful looking instrument

that plays and sounds as great as it looks.

THIS IS A GREAT TROMBONE FOR JAZZ, SYMPHONY OR ALL-AROUND PLAYING!

The rose brass bell gives a slightly warmer tone than a traditional yellow brass bell.

Keep a 6-1/2AL and a 12C mouthpiece (not included) with it and you can do anything from lead jazz to 3rd trombone concert work.  The 12C brightens the tone letting you cut through a jazz or concert band with ease.  The 6-1/2AL allows a full warm tone that works well with 3rd trombone to 1st parts and solo work.

INCLUDES A SMALL SHANK MOUTHPIECE AND A CASE

This is not your standard used instrument.  Restoration includes old finish chemically stripped off, dents removed, carefully reassembled, carefully polished and your choice of finishes applied.  It will look and play great!

The restoration is done by a respected local shop with over 40 years experience in woodwind and brass instrument restorations and repairs.  Some of their employees worked at the King and Conn factories in Elkhart, Ind. and Eastlake, Ohio.

I have personally used this company for over 10 years for my adult band members and myself.  I had this shop overhaul and silver plate my  “baby” – a 1971 Besson professional euphonium and for me that’s like trusting someone to operate on your kid.  (I’ve had the horn longer than my kids!)  It really looks great and actually plays better than when I bought it new in college.

THIS TROMBONE WILL REALLY LOOK AND PLAY GREAT!!

The slide is fast and smooth and has excellent compression

The inner slide tubes are brand new

This could be the only trombone you need!

It is an extremely versatile instrument.

DON’T LET THIS ONE GET AWAY!!!

REPAIR & RETURN WARRANTY”:

All instruments are inspected and play tested prior to shipping to insure the highest quality.  While all horns are sold “AS IS, NO RETURNS”  all restored instruments are guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for 30 days with a “REPAIR & RETURN” warranty from the shop that does my overhauls.  Contact me through eBay to OK warranty issues.  Horns must be returned prepaid, fully insured against loss and damage by a carrier that provides tracking.  Horns will be repaired, or replaced with a similar restored instrument if available, at our option and returned at no expense to the buyer.  A store credit towards any instrument in my eBay store can also be issued if the customer prefers.  To guard against “buyer’s remorse” NO CASH REFUNDS will be issued.  Purchase indicates full acceptance of these terms.

This trombone is guaranteed to be as described.  I take great care to make sure you are receiving a good quality instrument and to describe it accurately.  If something's not right - I'll make it right.

The pictures tell the story.  I personally play everything I sell, so there’s nothing to worry about.  I’m a band director and professional musician playing tuba to trumpet and everything in between.  If I wouldn’t have it in my house, I won’t send it to yours!

I’ve just collected too many instruments and other "horn stuff", between the community band that I direct (plus 3 others I play in – yes, I’m a little crazy!) and 2 kids that played in band in school.  It’s time to “thin the herd”, so I’ll be listing some more instruments and “horn stuff” soon.

UPDATE:  Thanks to all who have bought “stuff from my closet”.  This has gone so well, that I’ve opened an Ebay store and will be looking for nice items (mostly band instruments and “horn stuff”) to offer for sale on Ebay as well as selling for band members and friends.

If there is something you’d like, just email me with your request and I’ll try to find it for you.

UPDATED UPDATE:

MANY THANKS TO ALL MY PAST CUSTOMERS!  I'm now starting my 14th year on eBay with sales to 29 countries and all 50 states, and great positive feedback!  Thanks to all of you, I've achieved some of eBay's top ratings, plus a lot of great horns have been rescued and are now enjoying a new life all around the world.

THANKS AND ENJOY YOUR "NEW" REFURBISHED MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS!
