LT1084 is LT has introduced high-current, low dropout linear regulator IC, the nominal output current of 5A, enough to push CDROM.

1, LT1084 and heatsink installation:

Because the back of the metal part of the LT1084 is and output pins with the pole, in order to prevent accidental short-circuit conditions, to a metal pole and fins insulated open, self-installation sequence diagram when the press installation;

 

2, The power input and output:

Board of AC input range is 3V ~ 20V, DC output range is 1 ~ 20V, DC maximum current 5A.

3, Debugging:
After welding is correct, adjust the adjustable resistance RT1 on the board, so that the DC output voltage you need, such as 12V, 5V.

 

Caution:
Optical drive power cable red is 5V (+/- 0.5V), yellow is 12V (+/- 0.6V), please be sure to point before measuring the voltage, accurate and then take the drive!
