Ohtsu Kazuyuki, a woodblock artist born in 1935 in Gunma Prefecture, is recognized for his significant contributions to the world of woodblock art. His career began when he joined Saito Kiyoshi as an assistant in 1958. Saito Kiyoshi is widely regarded as one of the most accomplished woodblock artists of the 20th century.
Ohtsu's prints not only pay homage to the rich tradition of woodblock printmaking in Japan but also showcase his exceptional technical skills, honed over more than forty years in this medium.
