A simply gorgeous silk velvet bag from the late 1800's with a brass frame featuring a small orchestra complete with conductor in the center. The detail is quite extraordinary and it has a beautiful matching linked brass chain. The ultra soft silk velvet is quite worn as you can see in the photos. The beauty of it, though, is that the red silk grounding of the silk shows through and gives it a two-colored quality. Fabulous patina, very antique, very soft. The interior is a grey silk with a change purse built into the center. This silk is very worn, too, but still serviceable. The clasp on the frame is a bit loose and could use tightening.
