This pair of folding Lorgnette glasses have been in our family since way before I was born, and I am 64.  I used them as a magnifying glass for years before realizing that if I moved the button down, the lenses pop apart into glasses. They are in their original case, with original cleaning cloth. Case is starting to disintegrate, but the glasses are in excellent condition. I searched many times to find a metal purity mark and finally found it down in the groove that the other lens fits into when they are folded. Pop the lens open and look down in the slot to see "14K."  So, these glasses have 14K white gold rims and handle. They also have a loop from which to hang them on a chain for easy access during crafting or any other activity. They are vintage (exact year unknown) but still come in very handy in these modern times when magnification is necessary. Not too fragile to use.
