Download the Apple TV Remote app from the App Store
and turn
the iPhone into a fancy touch screen remote. Download the myTifi app to
use it as an extra remote for your Samsung Smart-TV or any other
Smart-TV's.
Sign in to all your streaming accounts, then throw music to AirPlay, Bluetooth, or Sonos speakers. Download TV, movie and radio apps to it so you can keep up with your favorite shows and the news when you are on the road. PlutoTV, TubiTV and Simple Radio are some of my favorite apps to accomplish this. And when I want to listen to just music I would either be on Pandora or Spotify. iHeart Radio is probably another one to try.
Get a new hobby as an amateur videographer. Use the phone as a video camera so you don’t fill your iCloud with big files. Add a microphone, a glass lens, a battery pack and a mount. Leave it set up all the time for easy recording.
It fits perfectly around a two year old’s hand which is when pediatricians say kids should start using phones. Play them nursery rhymes on YouTube. As they grow have them play games, read, draw and color. Teach them to use the calculator and download educational apps. Preload it with music, videos, family pictures and family videos. Teach them how to use the camera and led them make their own movies.
Dump all of your iTunes music onto it and all the CD's you ripped into your computer.
6. Surveillance Camera
This one is my favorite one of them all and probably one of the best kept secrets. Download Presence. It is the simplest app to use for converting your phone to surveillance camera. I’ve used it as a baby monitor when my son was young. My wife would open the app at her work and see what the kid was doing at home. A pretty nifty app. And now the kid is grown, he is using the same phone as toy.
