These are a truly stunning, (& rare), pair of Vintage mid-heeled, mid-calf height boots - by Russell & Bromley. (Collaboration with Linea Lidia).

Decade: 1980's / Around 40 years old.

*Very good used, vintage condition, (especially considering their age). They have been re-heeled, (for the new owner), and they were professionally re-soled, a few years ago, to add extra longevity and grip. They do have the occasional mark/watermark, as well as inevitable creasing lines, from wearing, but this does not distract from their overall charm, or functionality.*

Colour: Best described as an Autumnal, Antique Brown - 100% Leather upper, (slightly distressed and shiny in finish. 100% leather lining & full leather insoles. 100% leather outsoles, but were professionally re-soled, (not recently), to add extra longevity, as well as grip to them.

Euro Size (as stated on the outsoles): 39.5 = UK Size: 6.5. But vintage sizes tend to be on the smaller side vs. more modern sizes. With this is mind, please check against the measurements listed below, (to ensure fit), as all manufacturers differ with their sizing. I would say that depending on the fit you prefer, they would suit a UK 5 - 5.5. I am a UK 5 and I wore these comfortably with thick woollen socks and they fitted very well. They will come with the additional leather, removeable insoles, (original R&B, and bought at the time of buying them, back in the 1970's!). Removing these adds a small amount of extra room.

Measurements:

Width of outsole at widest point (outside): 8.3 cm

Heel height: 2.5 inches

Total height of boots - at back: 14.5 inches

Length of leather insole (from very back to the very front): 25 cm

Width of top - laid flat & measured on the outside from front to back: 7 inches

Calf Circumference: 15 inches (measured wearing thin leggings) and they are not tight at all.

Stunning pair of mid-calf boots made from premium quality, 100% Leather upper, finished in a beautiful Autumnal/Antique BROWN. Excellent quality materials you would expect from Russell & Bromley

Other features of the vintage R&B boots include:

- Premium quality, robust leather upper: this has a slightly distressed, and a slightly shiny finish

- Finished in a versatile, Autumnal colour

- Brown is considered to be a 'warm-palette' colour

- A great alternative colour if Black is your usual go-to

- The Brown leather upper is complimented and contrasted using a dark brown colour to accentuate the joining lines, (piping), as well as around the top/opening

- The 'piping' detail, (joining lines), are located vertically, down both the inside and the outside, (to the shaft area), as well as around the whole ankle area

- The opening/top is particularly pretty as they have a curved edge/V-shaped cut out, located to both the outside, and the inside. (Approximately 1.5 inches in length)

- The front, (top/opening), is ever-so-slightly taller, vs. the back of the boots

- Almond shaped toe

- Theme: 1980's, London, Retro, Vintage, Countryside, Bohemian, Luxury Boots & Autumnal

- They are full of English heritage, character and nostalgia

- Made in Italy

- Full leather lining and full leather insoles

- Lightweight and very comfortable to wear

- Flexible leather, & later added, rubber outsoles

- Offers minimum effort with maximum effect/impact; simply pull on and off you go. (No zips or buckles to fasten)

- Sturdy, block heels (2.5 inches in height); finished in a contrasting dark brown, stacked-wood effect style

- These vintage mid-calf Boots are great to team with outfits during the more cooler seasons of the year, but no reason why they cannot be worn for evenings out, during the warmer months also

- Very well made/made to last a lifetime/high quality

- Made by a very high-end/premium company; Russell & Bromley are a premium, British brand who were founded in 1873 and are still in business today

- Practical, streamlined and minimalistic in finish

- Many intricate details have been used to create these amazing boots. This really sets them apart from other, similar-styled boots, you can buy on the high street/online

- Over time, items like these are going to become harder to come by

- A rare pair of boots; there is something truly special about them.

Ideal for many casual, or smart-casual, occasions alike; they can be easily dressed up, or dressed down, depending on the desired look you are seeking. Very durable and versatile. Easy to accessorise and a wardrobe must-have. Full of character and nostalgia. They have a timeless design, which will never go out of fashion. A great wardrobe staple, and made to last for many more decades to come. Team with other vintage items, or more modern pieces alike, to create your very own unique, yet glam look/s. A real statement pair of boots.

Very good, used vintage condition, (especially considering their age), and all the quality you would expect from Russell & BromleyRussell & Bromley are renowned for their excellent quality footwear and these vintage boots are a great example of that. Anyone familiar with this very high-end, British brand, will know just how good the quality is. Only selling as I have too many boots in my collection now. Due to their age, they are not in pristine condition but they are being sold in very good, used vintage condition. Please be sure to inspect the pictures in the Gallery, (as well as the mini video clip), before purchasing, to make certain you are happy with the condition/signs of wear. E.g., There are some very feint/minor marks/watermarks to the leather upper. There are also some inevitable crease lines, to the toe & ankle/shaft areas, from wearing.
