1960s Harmony H49

Putting out feelers for this old and rare harmony beater.

This guitar sounds absolutely amazing. Nothin' quite like that DeArmond Goldfoil tone, great for every genre and playing style.

Known issues:

The wiring is intermittent. the bridge pickup cuts out at times, and the tone pots do not appear to be working.

The truss rod is damaged, it appears to be a the weld specifically is broken, but I'm not an expert. It's bottomed out at the headstock and bent outward.

There is a slight lift in a few inlays, 3, 5, and 7. I never notice it while playing and they are secure on the fretboard.

The nut either needs a permanent shim, or a new nut cut.

The body has an output jack repair from some apparent damage, could use some extra reinforcement.

The bottom strap peg is loose.

Again, an absolutely killer sounding guitar. Will play well with a shimmed neck and a new nut as is, otherwise the truss rod should be repaired or replaced.

All of the original finish was stripped from the neck, top, and back by a previous owner revealing the gorgeous grain on the back of the body. It's still very comfortable to play, the neck is nicely worn in.

Some date stamps in the body seem to suggest 1962, while the freshest one in the middle says 1967.

I don't want to sell this guitar, but it's sat around for a year not getting repaired. This could be a great project or an amazing player-grade guitar after repairs.

Includes the original truss rod cover and screws not pictured.

The Truss rod cover, nut, and strap peg will be separate for safe keeping, but included in your purchase.

If you want the extra padding, I can include the stinky 'ole leather Yamaha leather gig bag that came with it.

CONUS only shipping, and local pickup.
