SINOSSI
La fioraia Adelaide diventa amante di Oreste, un muratore comunista ammogliato. Nel corso di una manifestazione, l'uomo fa la conoscenza del pizzaiolo Nello, ed ha la malaugurata idea di presentarlo ad Adelaide. Lei si innamora anche di Nello e, visto che non riesce a decidersi, nasce una relazione a tre, che in breve tempo è destinata a naufragare. Oreste perde il lavoro e vive come un barbone. Adelaide sceglie di sposare il pizzaiolo. Ma morirà prima del matrimonio, per mano di Oreste, accecato dalla gelosia.
