Abiu or Australian sapodilla (Pouteria caimito) has oval to round fruit with a length of 6–12 cm, and weighs between 300-700g with a round and smooth to lobed fruit tip. Harvesting the fruit can be done after 3 months from the appearance of flowers on the plant. The flesh of this fruit will have a clear white color with a distinctive sweet and fresh taste. The taste of this fruit has a taste similar to young coconut. The flesh of this fruit tends to be soft and slightly watery. This fruit has lots of vitamins A, B3 and C, and is rich in calories and fiber. Therefore, Abiu fruit also has many health benefits.
