Vtg Walter Bosse Brass Dachshund Dog 'Pretzel Holder' Herta Baller Austria MCM
Approx. 6" tall, 8" long

Designed by Walter Bosse for the workshop of Herta Baller in Vienna in the 1950s. Walter Bosse was a Viennese artist, designer, ceramist, potter, metalworker, and craftsman noted for his modernist bronze animal figurines and grotesques. Handcrafted in solid brass and hand finished to a golden sheen with black patina, this style, originated by Walter Bosse together with Herta Baller, was known as the “Black Golden Line.”

Very good preowned vintage condition. Some wear to the ear surfaces and possibly some small scratches in patination around eyes - see last two photos.
