Strong WiFi with ASUS AiRadar

Maximum compatibility

The ASUS router is compatible with Allen modems/modem routers from Internet providers for ADSL, VDSL, cable or fiber optic lines. Simply connect the ASUS router behind your internet provider's device using a network cable and benefit from the greater WiFi coverage and speed.

Security with AiProtection

The exclusive ASUS AiProtection solution combines the all-round security protection from security specialist Trend Micro directly in the WLAN router. AiProtection also protects WiFi devices without an installed virus program, such as smart TVs, AV receivers and game consoles. The integrated parental controls also block inappropriate content.

Roaming assistant

With Asus Roaming Assist technology, users never have to manually switch connections between an Asus router and repeater when moving from place to place at home. When activated, the device automatically connects to the strongest WiFi signal, regardless of whether it comes from the router or repeater. This ensures that the user always receives the most reliable connection.

Fast 802.11ac WLAN standard

The ASUS RT-AC66U router uses the new fifth generation Broadcom WLAN 802.11ac standard, which achieves speeds of up to 1200 Mbit/s over the 5 GHz band or 300 Mbit/s over the 2.4 GHz band and is therefore around up to three times faster than the 802.11n WLAN standard.

DFS (Dynamic Frequency Selection)

In the 5 GHz band, the four channels 36/40/44/48 can be freely used for indoor Wi-Fi in the EU. Channels above 48 can also be used with the ASUS router. To avoid interference, an automatic channel change can be carried out with DFS. This means that the full channel spectrum of 5 GHz is available.

ASUS Router APP

With the exclusive Asus Router app, control over the home network is simplified. The app displays information such as the current data rate or the CPU/RAM status. It also allows you to make settings, carry out a firmware update or network diagnosis or check the current security status. The app is available free of charge for iOS and Android devices.
