Die Sozialinnovatoren erklären anschaulich, wie ihre sozialen Innovationen funktionieren. Der Herausgeberband soll das Thema "Soziale Innovation" bekannter machen und als Wissensquelle für (zukünftige) Sozialinnovatoren dienen. Entstanden ist dieser Herausgeberband im Rahmen des vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung geförderten Forschungsprojektes "Soziale Innovationen in Deutschland".
