Vintage Louis Marx & Co 1951 Tin Metal 2 Story Colonial Dollhouse with Patio

 

This is a vintage 1951 Louis Marx & Co pressed tin colonial style 2 story doll house. The Colonial with a utility room was produced in 1951 and Sold by Sears. Adorable lithograph printed tin gives floors, walls, windows, & doors to this 6-room dollhouse. It also comes with a patio that adds a touch of nostalgia to the piece. Lithograph printed dollhouse white two story, red roof, green trim. The dollhouse measures 25.5 inches in length, 16 inches in height, and 6.5 inches in width and weighs 4lb10oz. 

Laundry room has wood grain chair rail paneling, with blue uppers, gingham trim and curtains with washer woman decorations. Kitchen has chair rail red tile more red gingham curtains and plates and dishes for decoration.

The living room is green with outdoor scene pictures, pink and yellow flowered curtains a fireplace flanked by bookshelves, with a painting and candles above the mantle and a hook rug in brown and oranges and blues, there's yellow tile around the fireplace and spark catcher, and the floor is a blue carpet.

The main bedroom is painted blue it has yellow curtains, it has flowers on the walls, pink carpet with a blue yellow and green rug.

The bathroom is done in pastels with a coral shower curtain and coral towels, the lower walls at chair rail height is tiled with white, pastel tiles, blue yellow and pink, the wall color is yellow, the floor color is blue, it has a yellow rug.

The nursery has a yellow floor with a boy and girl playing blocks painted on the floor It has a toy wall cupboard with several toys It has the ABC’s at chair rail, topped with ducks, cats, dogs, mice, squirrels, rabbits, and little rain clouds, and blue curtains with a yellow awning.

The patio has a French door into the bedroom, it has two plants painted on the wall, a light over the door, there is green, purple, yellow, and gray slate like flooring, the outside of the patio shows a railing it is over the laundry room, it has shrubs and bushes, and a stacked rock slab design. It has a blue shingle roof with a stacked rock chimney, it has a redwood plank upper second story. Marked MAR with Marx logo in the stacked stone on the chimney
