This is one euro. Maple bar board/wood. Curled sycamore maple is a sought-after growth variant of the regular product with a highly decorative character. This is determined by a wavy, moving veneer pattern as well as more or less regular and strongly pronounced stripes that are aligned transversely to the grain. The color of the wood is almost white to light yellow and shimmers with a silky sheen. The bar is nicely defined, but it's not always easy to capture it in the photos! Possible dark spots are only superficial and can be sanded off! Distinctive features such as branches, ingrowths, cracks, insect holes, etc. are marked with paint as best as possible. The board is in rough cut form, slightly curved, spots only superficially, rough sawn, not planed (could therefore be slightly curved), darkened when drying (becomes light again after planing), kept dry.
