Lunch at the Ritz was founded in 1982 by artist and jewelry designer Zander Elliot and his business partner, Marianne Berg. The name "Lunch at the Ritz" was inspired by Elliot's experience of having lunch at the Ritz Hotel in Paris, where he was struck by the glamour and luxury of the experience. The company quickly gained a following for its bold, colorful, and whimsical jewelry designs, which featured a variety of materials such as Swarovski crystals, enamel, gold-plated brass and more.
