To set up Foscam model FI9821W, you need to:

Open the package and take the camera out of the box carefully.
Mount the Wi-Fi antenna on the SMA connector on the back of the camera, screw the antenna into the port, and make the antenna stand vertically.
Download the Foscam App from the Apple Store or Google Play Store and install it to the cellphone.
Apply power to the camera and allow it to complete the self-test.
Verify the camera is set to the factory settings. If this is in question, perform a hard reset of the device.
