Antique Nippon Bone Vase Morimura. Handmade, Hand Painted With Poppy Flowers 1900’s made in Noritake, Japan Chin region. Ash from animal bone is used in a special mixture with a unique ceramic found in only that region of Japan. Gives the pottery it's cream appearance. Nippon Toki Kaisha, Ltd was established in 1904 in the village of Noritake, Japan. In 1981 the company's name was changed from Nippon Toki Co. Ltd to Noritake Co, Limited. This vase has the First original stamp dating back to 1891 by the founder Chuji Fukagawa. Their Pottery started being marked in 1891 to comply with the Mckinley Tariff Act. Nippon Translates in English to " Japan". So you can understand how very old this pottery really is and what it might be worth to the right collector. This piece could be over 130 years old!
