Not sure if it will fit or work on all the years between 1977-1986 or not. Please do your research to be sure that this is the exact one that you need. This air cleaner assembly in my opinion is in overall good shape for the age and for being an old used part. However, it does show signs of age and use. It has imperfections that are expected from an old used part. Some minor dings, imperfections in the paint etc. it has been repainted. Please look very closely at the pictures before purchasing.
