G-SHOCK continues to evolve in pursuit of toughness, and a new model "RM Series" with a newly developed, highly durable band is now available.
This new series pursues shock resistance (resist) performance in terms of material.
Jointly developed with Mizuno Technics Co., Ltd. and using carbon fiber, which has excellent tensile durability, as an insert in the resin, a tough band that is resistant to breakage has been realized*. Carbon fiber is inserted not only in the band itself, but also in the spring bar around the case joint, the locking mechanism, and the ring, etc., to ensure that every detail is taken care of.
Titanium is used for the metal parts such as the back cover, side buttons, and latch. The back of the watch is forged to ensure unlimited shock resistance and durability.
In addition, the innovative technology and lightweight nature of titanium have made it possible for the first time for a G-Shock to have a total product weight of less than 50g, or "47g". The design is cool, taking advantage of the texture of carbon fiber. Transparent resin is used on the surface of the band so that the unevenness of the carbon fiber can be seen through it.
The luster of the resin accentuates the black color and creates a sharp look.
The latest technology is incorporated into the mold that inherits the design of the first generation G-Shock, and a new model with even more durable performance is now available.
