EMBROIDERED ROSE BOUQUET TABLECLOTH - Sheer - Extensive Lace Trim - RED/PINKROSE FLORAL
Vintage, from the 1990s
~70x72
Sheer, Creamy gold polyester fabric, crisscrossed throughout with individual rose flowers, fine green and gold leaves, and 'vining' threads, in a lattice pattern. Where the lines of these floral items cross, there is a bouquet of 4 roses, together in a small bunch. There are both red and pink roses, in varying hues, but the majority of the flowers have red in them.
There is copious crocheted lace along the margins, ~ 3/4-1" Wide along 2 sides, and ~10" along the 2 other sides - Very eye-catching. The longer lace sides have panels within the crochet, and they have the lattice and flowers within them.. The crocheted lace is of a white, thicker thread with a bit of shimmer.
Very lightweight and easy to adjust. This is sheer enough to use as a seasonal, special occasion, etc overlay of a solid colored tablecloth - the lattice embroidery and lace will really stand out!
This was my Mom's - used one time for a Garden Party / Bridal Shower in summer amongst lots of other flowers and pretty .bushes - washed up fine, no stains, tears, snags, etc. Just lots of compliments! it's been in my cedar chest with other linens since. I have so many tablecloths, time to downsize my collection - perfect timing, while we're doing renovations to house, furniture, etc.
PLEASE NOTE - The photos that show the whole table cloth show it doubled over, but there are other photos that show it single layer. I just didn't have large enough spot to lay it out fully and still be able to photo well ... arms too short, and my dining table is being refinished now..... but hopefully, you can see how pretty it is and visualize on your own table.
