This is the 1987 2nd edition of the classic WWII Milton Bradley board game Axis and Allies. It is in quite good condition, very close to complete - only missing ONE main piece (a USSR Battleship, which is okay, because they only had four in real life) the missing pieces are mostly easily replaceable things like plastic chips and dice, but the full list is below.

The board itself is slightly warped, can be bent back flat but I do not want to try to do it.

I've taken the time and care to count and organize every single piece for the buyer. I've done some research, and there is not a consensus on exactly how many chips are supposed to be in the set, this box seems like it may have a few extra white chips and a few missing red chips. it has 55 white and 6 red plastic chips - usually there are around 8 or 10 red, and maybe 53 white ones.

there are supposed to be 30 currency bills (production certifications) of each denomination (1, 5, 10) - there are only 29 1's and 29 Tens.  There are 30 Fives.

There are supposed to be 6 red dice and 6 white dice - there are only 4 white and 3 red dice.

The box is Missing only ONE board piece, a single brown (USSR) battleship.

There are multiple EXTRA infantry pieces - the game calls for 15 of each country, and there are a mix of 17 or 16 per country.

The box says 1987 edition, but some of the paperwork inside (manuals, supplemental) is copyrighted 1986 and another one is copyrighted 1991. So this game MAY have been mixed and matched at one point.
