This exquisitely bound volume is number 23 in The beautiful 1952 Britannica Great Books of the Western World multi-volume set of great world literature and philosophy. It features Leviathan by Thomas Hobbes, and The Prince by Nicolo Machiavelli - two of the most influential works of political and philosophical literature ever written.
Not only does this Britannica set offer aesthetically beautiful printings and bindings of the cornerstones of western literature, but they are also very sturdy and well-made products. This book does NOT look 72 years old, it has held up incredibly well without any particularly special care.
Such a great volume, whether you just want a nicer, sturdier and more impressive copy of these classic books than you can get on amazon (and probably a better translation of Machiavelli, as well), but I'm also selling it for less than it'd cost for two modern paperback of both of these books (probably even less than ONE, the way new books are being priced these days)

Whether you're trying to complete the missing pieces of your 1952 Britannica Set (see our store, we have a few more of these books from that same set), or just want to read these classics, you're in for a treat with this beautiful hardcover bound gem.
