3D printed, rubber-like Erika typewriter case bumpers (late, beveled model).

---

Just like old typewriter feet, the bumpers in Erika cases from the '30s and '40s can turn very hard, or may be missing completely. These bumpers are very important to keep the machine protected. If the feet are worn, the machine can come loose from the base. And with no, or hard bumpers, the paint on the Typewriter can be damaged badly (see photos for an example. Left side bumper was missing, and right side was very hard).

These bumpers are printed with Shore A70 TPU, and have the same properties as the original, factory rubber bumpers. They are very flexible, and are nearly indestructible. They can be cut, but that's already quite hard to accomplish. They certainly are more durable than real rubber. For example: I had to use a screwdriver with an allen bit to push the feet of the Royal P onto the studs. The feet were not damaged at all during the operation, and could probably be removed and placed on a different machine.

This set includes:

- 2 press-fit Bumpers

Make sure that you get the right bumpers for your machine. These are for the later models with covered spools. The '30s model with exposed spools uses a slightly different bumper.

As you can see in the pictures, you can sand the TPU for a more 'rubbery' look. This will amost completely remove the print lines on the visible parts of the bumpers, and make them more dull like the original.

Shoot me a message if you have any questions! :)

Note: I sell only the bumpers. The existing mounting hardware should be used again.
