Needs heavy mulching to prevent frost damage. Use a tarp to protect it from winter moisture. Or simply take a start and grow it inside over the winter. Storing the corms (bulbs) is easy just carefully dig up so as to not damage the corm/bulb then cut back the leaves and store in a dark cool room overwinter.

Loves nitrogen rich soil and lots of water! The more sun it gets the more water it needs.
