EDIT: This style fresh air box does not have a fan, nor does it have any provisions for a fan. Only super beetle fresh air boxes come with a fan, and this one can be used in such super beetles, but as described below, it came from a standard beetle.

Original German fresh air box, for 1968-1977 Volkswagen Beetle. Fresh air box only. These are not made new, so used is the only way to go. This sits under the frunk lid, held in place by three screws (not included) and allows fresh air to be drawn into the interior. Separately sold controls determine how much air enters the interior. The box has been cleaned to the best of my ability, but is not perfect. There are scratches on it, part of the top has been painted yellow, and one of the metal inserts for the mounting screws is missing. Of course, the look of it shouldn’t matter much, because you aren’t exactly going to see it often. This came out of a 1972 standard beetle. In order to install, you will also need the controls (sold separately), drain pipe, ducts, mounting screws (unavailable from me), various gaskets, and paper piping (can be bought new).
