Hokuriku Koshinetsu region, a regional brand in Ishikawa prefecture .Manufactured in Kanazawa .

The origin of paulownia crafts in Kanazawa is said to be from the Muromachi period and the Edo period, and it is uncertain.

It was developed by the encouragement of the Kaga domain during the Edo period .

The paulownia brazier is the most famous in Kanazawa's paulownia crafts. In the Meiji era, a technique for applying lacquer work to a paulownia brazier was devised and gained popularity nationwide. Currently, taking advantage of the characteristics of paulownia, which has excellent moisture resistance and fire resistance , paulownia braziers, vases, and confectionery vessels are being produced.
