Jujube or Sidr (Ziziphus mauritiana) are eaten fresh, dried, boiled, stewed, and baked and are used to flavor tea. When made into glacé fruits by boiling in honey and sugar syrup, they resemble Persian dates and are sometimes known as Chinese dates. Juice obtained from the fruits is used in making small candies called jujubes. The raw fruits are high in vitamin C.

Green Jujube has the largest fruit size than other varieties, approximately 5 cm (2 inches) round and green in color. It has a translucent, tender pulp with a pineapple-like flavour. The texture is similar to an apple, crispy sweet and very fresh when the fruit is ripe (light green in color)
