Kochu Hanami bento is a picnic set that includes a stacked box, a tokkuri (sake cup), a plate, a sake cup, and other tableware in a frame with a handle, and became popular during the Edo period (1603-1868). The frame, stacked boxes, and plates are lavishly decorated with cherry blossoms, paulownia (paulownia), and wisteria flowers in gold lacquer.
