The letters on the fan is 一夕之聖. The meaning is a sage / wise man in one evening.

Gunbai was once used by Samurai warlords to command their armies. The correct term is "Gunbai Uchiwa". It was an uchiwa-shaped tool used by warlords to command their armies. In warfare, the general assessed the direction, date, and time, and read the astronomical information to properly position his troops. Unlike regular fans, gunbai was solid, not folding, and usually made of wood, wood covered with metal, or solid metal.
